General Contracting role
Reliable Roofing coordinated the delivery of upgrades to the existing building façade and sheet metal and roofing trades for the new addition.
Roofing:
The original plan for this project included repairs to the existing coal tar roof system. During the preparatory investigation it was discovered that areas were badly disintegrated and a guarantee on the repairs could not be provided. In lieu of the coal tar repairs Reliable Roofing provided a completely new PVC membrane roofing system with a 20 year guarantee.
This project also included natural slate roofing, the intension to remove, save and replace the existing slates was abandoned as the existing slates were extremely brittle and fragile. It was decided to install new slates on all the steep sloped areas.
Sheet Metal
This project involved a significant amount of sheet metal application. The new addition building called for the installation of curved copper panels with an evergreen finish. This evergreen finish is a achieved by fast tracking the oxidation process in a factory environment. This gives the copper wall panels an aged ‘’green look’’ these panels were installed on the entire façade in conjunction with new louvers, stainless steel screens and aluminum wall panels.
