Background
The existing condition at the Westborough water treatment plant was very poor. The building had a series of leaks and the staff had set up water catchers to limit the damage within the building.
Project Details
This project involved complete tear off of the existing roof to the steel deck and installation of a new built up roof over tapered insulation. The job included new skylights, scuppers, flashings and counter flashings. The plant remained totally operational during the new roof construction with no disruption to the employees or processes. When the new roof was installed the staff were pleased to remove the old water catchers and know they would not have to empty any more water buckets.
